We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development leader to oversee and drive the global expansion of Chinese carriers for Trip.com.  The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, high proficiency in English, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires extensive global travel and is based in Shanghai.  

Key Responsibilities:  

1. Lead the team in developing and implementing business development strategies to drive global growth of Chinese carriers for Trip.com.  

2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business development efforts with overall company goals.  

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition for Chinese carriers in global markets

4. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive threats in the global aviation industry.

5. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.

6. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate complex deals.  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on the aviation industry.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a business development team.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• High proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and verbal.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

• Willingness and ability to travel globally.
